Todd Spayde

Cloud infrastructure, done right the first time.

I'm Todd Spayde, a cloud and DevOps consultant with 25 years in IT. I help businesses move to AWS, automate how they build and deploy, and get real answers out of their business data.

What I do

Most of my work falls into five areas. I take on short, well-defined projects and ongoing part-time support.

  • Cloud migration

Moving servers, applications, and databases from on-premises hardware to AWS. I start with an assessment of what you have, plan the move so day-to-day work isn't disrupted, and leave you with an environment that costs what it should.

  • Infrastructure as code

Building AWS environments with Terraform so they're documented, repeatable, and reviewable. No more servers that only one person knows how to rebuild.

  • CI/CD pipelines

Automated build, test, and deployment pipelines with GitHub Actions. Changes go out the same way every time, with fewer late nights and fewer surprises.

  • Security and compliance

Hardening cloud environments, setting up monitoring and alerting, and working to formal security controls. I've spent years supporting cloud systems on large federal healthcare programs, where security reviews are part of every release.

  • ERP reporting and integration

Custom reports, dashboards, and integrations for ERP systems, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Macola. I've spent years helping manufacturers pull the numbers they need out of systems that don't make it easy.

For IT and consulting firms

When a client needs AWS or DevOps work your team doesn't usually take on, you don't have to turn it down or hire for it. Bring me in as your subcontractor.

Your client relationship stays yours. I don't solicit your clients, and I'm happy to put that in writing.

  1. A client asks for cloud work

A migration, a new AWS environment, a deployment pipeline, or help with an existing setup.

  2. You give me a call

We talk through the scope together, and I help you estimate and price it for your client.

  3. I do the work under your name

I work as part of your team, with your client communication and your standards.

  4. You deliver and keep the client

I hand off clean documentation so your team can support it going forward.

About me

I started in IT supporting manufacturing systems, the kind of work where a down server stops a production line. Over the next 25 years I led IT for manufacturing and education organizations and built custom reporting for ERP systems.

Today I work as a DevOps engineer focused on AWS, building and automating cloud infrastructure for large federal healthcare programs. That mix is what I bring to every project: hands-on cloud engineering, an understanding of how a business actually runs, and the patience to explain both in plain language.

I'm based in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, and work with clients locally and remotely.
